TWO Book Giveaways you do NOT want to miss

Today I have not one, but TWO craft books to review AND give away.  They cover everything from knitting to ATCs to embroidery to pumpkin carving, paper crafts, and everything in between.

Like I said -- you don't want to miss this.

Both books were sent to me to review by Potter Craft, a publishing company who consistently puts out beautiful, creative books.

So without further ado, here are the two books (and click the links to see some of the interior pages).

I love all things Martha.  Her cookbooks take up an entire shelf in my kitchen, I used to get her magazine before I tightened my belt a bit, and I've made many, many of her crafts and recipes.  I've had success with all of them.

This 360+ page book covers 225 projects.  Lots of templates are included in the back of the book for you to enlarge and use.  There are crafts for all major holidays, and range from table settings to gifts to things you can easily do with kids.  The photography is amazing and it's frankly just a pretty book to flip through -- there's a lot of crafty eye-candy you'll get by looking at the projects, and plan to adapt them to my own ideas.  I'm having a hard time giving this book away, y'all.  It's that awesome.  But you deserve it!

This book is an entirely new concept to me.  The subtitle is "People, Ideas, and Projects from the Community of Handmade and How You Can Join In."  What a concept, right?  I mean, here we all are, promoting "Buy Handmade", and Joan Tapper writes a book that delves even deeper into the heart of the issue.

There are seventeen projects in this 160-page book, most based around knitting, embroidery, and sewing, but a few other interesting projects as well.   This is a book you buy not so much for the projects, but for the message.  Various artists are interviewed, their studios are shown, and their ideals are explored.  "Quilts for a Cause", "Recycled Chic", and knit-bombing are covered.  (Don't know what knit-bombing, or yarn-bombing is?   Click here!

Both of these books would be AMAZING additions to your bookshelf, and rather than keep them, I've decided to pass them on.  Because crafts are MEANT to be shared, whether it's by giving them as gifts or wearing them for others to see and comment on.

Here's How to Win ONE Book
(there will be two winners)

1.  Post about this on your blog
2. Post about this on Facebook or Twitter
3.  Leave a comment with your link(s) to the above

I'd like you to post on your blog or Facebook or Twitter because I really want to spread the word for Potter Crafts -- these are two exceptional books and have a broad interest to so many artisans.

(I am so sorry, but these books are heavy,
so US entrants only.)

Winners announced Sunday the 13th!

Now go make something pretty!

(Fine print -- all opinions of these books are my own and I did not receive monetary compensation for said reviews.)
