More of Where Bloggers Create 2011

My main post is below (click here), but here are some more detailed photos of my favorite things in my creative spaces.  Enjoy!

Pencils, pens, and bead sizer.
In my latest acquisition from Whimsee Pots.

My son's artwork on the wall.

Jewelry boxed and ready to go.

Whimsical fish, vase from Mother's Day flowers, vintage cabinet cards,
and old books from my grandfather.

Glass rods from my glass rod storage.

Art from Etsy, art by my son, and hearts from a friend.

Kelly's lampwork eggs.

Vintage wall hanging with Swarovski snowflake Christmas ornaments.
My husband has given me one for every year
I've been making jewelry.

Vintage tins, handmade boxes, and Mason jars.

Three of the first three vintage cameras I found for my collection.

Mixed media art from Kerry Bogert, fairy house from Vanessa Valencia,
and a pop bead ring by my son.

A polymer clay dragon, chosen by my son, a vintage ballerina,
a Miriam Haskell-esque pin and charm made
by a dearest friend.

Lots of books and magazines, another Etsy painting,
and another handmade ceramic cup with frogs.

Blocks, a vase I painted, acorn caps my son collected, a vintage bobbin,
spool, and jar of buttons I've collected.

And finally, an art decal on my lampwork wall
that about drove me nuts to put up.

I hope I haven't bored you to tears with the
past two days' posts and will
get back to your regularly programmed blogging soon!

  1. Hi Lori:

Enjoyed visiting your blog with all the cool art and vintage pieces!!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and the sweet compliment.

  2. Such a great studio space. I love that you have your son's artwork displayed here and your Swarovski snowflake collection ~ looks like your Studio is filled with wonderful memories ♥

  3. Love it all! The fairy house! The etsy bird art! The color. It's like a magical wonderland :)

  4. love your spaces! and colors! and pretty things!

I have some one to help me get my spaces organized so I hope to have pictures some time!

  5. Thanks again for sharing - the detailed pics are lovely so am guessing the real thing looks even prettier! Am I the only one in love with the fairy house? Or did anyone else also click on the link to see if they could snag one for themselves?

Oh and thanks so much for commenting on my blog - I really appreciate it.

  6. LOVE your son's artwork! And the vintage tins are delicious~~~

  7. Hi Lori! Thanks for dropping by to see my space yesterday! I'm making the rounds trying to get to everyone's in return and catch up with the rest of the gang. Wow - 300 is a lot! :) Your space is SO pretty! Just like the name of your blog! Love it! The thing that POPS the most for me is the painting on the wall your son did where you have a saying written under it about colors. I "honestly" thought this may have been an artist friend that painted that. TRULY I did! Your son is one talented young man! I also love showcasing throughout my home the artwork my children have done throughout the years. They're adults now, but walking into the rooms I have them in just makes me feel like they're still with me. :) I'll have to look a little deeper on your blog to see some of the jewelry you design now. ;) Merci again for dropping by! PS: I'm originally from the MD/PA area, noticed you are not far from where I lived most of my earlier days in my life! ;)

  8. I'm loving all aspects of your studio(s) -- from the vintage goodies to all the splashes of color. It's great to have such inspiration all around you.

  9. Lori-Thank you for visiting. You bet Im going to visit a fellow jewelry designer. Then I came across your other blogs trying to find this one. OMG! you make your own beads! I admire that immensely. It is one thing to design fabulous pieces people love, BUT to work with your own beads, joyous! I'll be checking into your lampwork beads soon...loved them immediately. I'm following :)

  10. Your studio must be a pleasant and tidy one. I am so envious. I have all kinds of stuff all over my house. I need to organize again but won't have time until after my next few craft fairs. Love your collections - very ecclectic and I love that about you!!

  11. Lori, I have looked at this post several time because I just love the pictures. This a beautiful place to create. Zack's art work is the best. Thanks the sharing this with us. Now I want to see more of your lampwork beads lady.

  12. Love you spaces Lori, I didn't know you lampworked! All so bright and cheerful!

  13. BTW, I adore your son's artwork! He could compete with any of us mixed media artists for sure!!

And I am in love with that owl and little Vanessa house.
