Thank you

swimming to the surface.... (source unknown)
A quick note to say thank you to all of you who sent such wonderful wishes via comments and email.

After re-reading what I wrote yesterday, it sounded like I was basically complaining about having no furniture, but believe me, that's not what it was about.  I guess I just fixed on my Type A tendencies because I can't really talk about the true fears and stresses I have for my son, among other things.

It's easy to write about bad customer service, but when trying to put into words the deepest hurts and fears that live in the heart -- no, not just the heart, but the soul -- it's  really tough to do.  It's tough to know where the line is.

Thank you again, and back to Pretty Things.  Stay tuned for the next Cup of Bead Soup!

  1. Wow...this is an amazing ethereal. Kori xoxo

  2. Hang in there! Everything will work out.

  3. Hi Lori,

My prayers are still with you and I know all will work out in some positive way. My mom wrote it: "Don't worry about the mess, your guests are coming to see you" (and this is from the 'Clean Queen' herself -- Listen to her!)

    Love and prayers,

  4. I hope things are better for you and your son. Sending good thoughts to you both.

  5. Lori, I have only just read your post from yesterday. I want to add my positive thoughts and white light to all of those sent your way. Don't ever feel like you are alone!

Allow yourself a cry or a tantrum or a meltdown or whatever it takes to release those demons inside you. Hanging on to them and hiding them won't make them go away, lovely lady.

I'm here if you ever need a 'chat'! I may be on the other side of the world, but I'm just a click away, ok :-)

    With much love,

P.S. Furniture is just furniture...a picnic rug on the floor is much more fun than sitting on a boring ol' chair anyhow. I'm sure Zach won't mind ;-)

  6. Yes, that is a wonderful picture you have chosen. Could it be from an advert maybe? Some clever Art Director's vision's.

Anyway, I did read your last post and was so moved by it. I want to write you a personal letter. Soon I hope to get around doing that. All philosophical thoughts. I did NOT think it sounded you were only upset you wouldn't have any furniture for christmas. There was a lot more in there. I was beaming for all I knew yesterday. And I was doing that Yoga breathing someone mentioned, for you too. That works very well for me also. Yoga, try it! I am thinking of you, and you know I think you are an absolutely great person. You ARE!

    All my best,

  7. Hang in there!
(and I'm still sending positive energy your way!)

  8. I didn't think you were complaining about no furniture not at all. My prayers are still going your way and I hope things will get better for you and for your son.

  9. I feel your pain. I have a 3 year old son with special needs and lets just say, it's an emotional roller coaster. I try to stay positive but believe me, it doesn't always happen. I'm sending some positive vibes your way and hope that you'll be feeling better soon. :-)

  10. Its ok to really vent things just get to be too much! I have alot on my plate right now too. Try to get some down time to unwind Lori. You really need that to regroup as we all do. Hang in there ox Im praying to the Lord who "never slumbers nor does he sleep"!

  11. Sending lots of love and hugs your way. It will pass. Riki

  12. Love the photo you chose...and I didn't think your post had anything to do with furniture at all... The offer of cookies still stands :)
