What I'm Doing

What I'm Reading:

"Under the Dome" by Stephen King. I love Stephen King. He has great character development and keeps me turning pages wondering what's next. No, he's not Great Literature, but who cares. I like what I like. And sometimes I need spooky.

What I'm Hoping

That Zack had a good day at his first day back to school and didn't bounce off the walls too much. No one feed that kid sugar for a while, please.

What I'm Wishing For:

That my recent C/T scan shows something, anything, to explain my continued migraines. I'm getting right sick of them.

What I'm Wishing For Part 2:

What I'm Happy For:

The past three weeks - the house full of boys, laughter, good food (including pie), playing board games, and staying up late. And more pie. Mmmm. Pie.

What I'm Giddy For:

My husband's paying close attention to my random conversations all year, which caused him to remember that I wanted to start a vintage camera collection. He gave me several for Christmas, and just knowing that he remembered a stray comment enough to learn the machinations of Ebay meant more to me than the divine cameras he chose.

What I'm Giddy For Part 2:

That my son, who will be seven on the 10th, still isn't too old to be swept up in monster hugs and tickled until he falls to the floor incoherent with giggles.

Life is good.

There's a new post at my other blog,!

  1. Life IS good, indeed.

I hope Z-boy had a good day at school.

  5. Hi Lori. Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Sorry, could not get your e-mail to come up for some reason. I do have a few questions about MRSA and so on if you wouldn't mind e-mailing me. Surely that should work!
Hubby has an old camera collection. I'll have to post pics. some time.

  6. Yes, Life is good!!!

  7. Wonderful post, Lori!

  8. You are so appreciative of all your blessings. Good for you, Lori!

  9. I would just love to have tea with you in a warm place right now. I'm sorry about the cold and the migraines, but nice to know you are surrounded by love.

My son is home from college for another week. It's been so nice for Bob and I to have him home even though is is pretty close. All in all life is good.

And about those blogs...I think we are both smart, but smart enough to know how much we don't know!

  10. Great camera, are you planning on having a nice display of them in your home? Are you going to try to use some of them?

  11. You are happy and I'm thrilled for you. I saw the Stephen King at the 'Chapters' and sweet lord its big. I like him too. Most of the best things I've heard about writing as a craft was said by Mr King.
A continued happy week to you Lori.
    Warm regards,

  12. So glad life is good for you, Lori (except those awful headaches). You're in a wonderful place! :-)

  13. That was a lovely post, Lori & the vintage camera is wonderful! I wish you all the best in 2010.
    Hugs, Diane

I love spooky too! Nothing wrong with that ;)
I too have migraines and have had all kinds of tests. Nothing found.
After keeping track of when I got them, I realized that my migraines are definitely related to my hormone changes during ovulation and menstruation.
I'll be back to the dr. later this month and I'll let you know what I find out.

I appreciate comments! Thank you for contributing to the conversation.
