Some ramblings......

I'm very. Very. Very tired.

So tonight will just be some ramblings, ok?

1) Today was Zack's first swim team practice. Due to my complete inability to be late, ever, we arrived nearly half an hour early, so Zack swam around all that time BEFORE practice even started. They swam laps. And laps. And more laps. And he did them all, and not only did he do them all, he either beat or tied with his partner. I'm so proud I could burst.

2) I've got to quit reading tear-jerkers. The past two books I've read have involved either a mother or a child dying some long, drawn out, horrible death. Bad bad no. So I'm switching over to some classics that somehow, despite AP English's best efforts, I never read. I've got "A Tale of Two Cities" going on right now. Yeah, I know, there's death in that one, too, but it's different. I think. I'll let you know.
3) Speaking of books, can I tell you how much I hate end notes? I hate flipping to the back of the book and then back to the story again. Why can't they put them at the BOTTOM of the page? You know, FOOTnotes. I keep losing my place!

4) I made 20 pairs of angel earrings today. No, they're not for sale yet, but will be soon. Tomorrow, it's snowflake earrings. Tons of them. And this year, I'll have gold ones.

5) No matter how much I try, I will never, ever have enough time to put every piece of jewelry I've made on the web site. It's all photographed, but there's no way I can get it all posted. And believe me, I've tried.

6) I wonder how many people read this blog? Stats tell me quite a lot, but no one really comments all that often. So leave me a message! It's that little bit that says "comment" below!

When I'm not blogging, I'm making jewelry -- visit for handmade jewelry and general prettiness!

How exciting that Zack is on swim team. My girls haven't shown any interest, which is fine because here it's a real time commitment.

Can't wait to see all the new holiday bling bling!

  2. I read your blog and I try to leave comments. Some times they make it through the fog and others get lost somewhere in the magical ether of the Web.

I am very tired today too, I wish I knew where to find some energy so I could share that with you.

  3. Hi Lori! I'm here! :-)

I'm glad I found you through eSMArts. I still have my day job but I aim to be where you are. I enjoy reading about a person who takes her business seriously. Nothing wrong with keeping it a hobby if that's what you want.

I think I have the right combination of left-brain and right-brain. I enjoy the business side almost as much as the creative side. Just not enough hours to fulfill every thing I want to do. I can tell you feel that way too.

    Keep writing, creating & posting!

  4. Wow, I understand why you're so proud of your boy! :-)

I really really like the bracelet you posted, it's so pretty! I read your blog all the time but rarely post comments (sorry!). I just got back from the US actually, with tons of pretty beads in the luggage :-) I was lucky to catch the Bead Mercantile show while I was there.

Keep up the good work, you're a constant inspiration to me!

  5. Hi Stefani! My busines is absolutely full time, but it gets frustrating when I don't have full time hours and have to steal hours in the middle of the night. But it's important for me to be a mother to my son, so that's the way it has to be for a while!

  6. I subscribed recently so you'll be getting lots of comments from me, I'm fond of commenting.
The angel earrings are so cute.

    Hi Lori,

I totally understand how you feel. I am a full time jewelry seller and stay at home mom. It is hard to keep a balance. I found myself always feel guilty while I am working and not spending enough time with my daughter.

I love to read your blog. I love to see your jewelry. And I am mostly interested in what you do with Zack.

Thank you for spending time to write this blog.

I love your blog...where else can I read about your beautiful jewelry (my daughter's favorite bracelet is still the Baa Baa one), ideas for what books to read and about Zack. Keep up the GREAT work girl!
