Yay to our Goodwill!

You hear about paintings found in old barns that end up being a priceless Monet, right? Well in my little town of Easton, MD, something neat like that happened.

According to the story published in the Baltimore Sun, a $40,000 street scene painted by Impressionist Edouard-Leon Cortes was dropped off along with a bunch of pots and pans and other Goodwill-type stuff. One of the employees thought it looked of value, and gave it to the manager, who did some research, and happy ending, Goodwill now has $40K!

Too cool.

That is a fabulous thing for Good Will! I'm pretty sure the person who dropped it off though, feels a little ill!
