Sad about George Carlin

I woke up this morning to read the news that George Carlin had passed away.

I loved him as a comedian, but there's another reason I'm sad -- he was the narrator for several seasons of Thomas the Tank Engine episodes. Zack has watched those so many times that I sometimes felt like George Carlin was staying in our spare room. Funny how someone who was famous for "The Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television" was also the voice of Thomas and Sir Topham Hat. Not to mention Fillmore in the movie "Cars".

I was listening to the XM comedy channel and they played an interview they had with George Carlin about retirement and growing old. When they asked him what he wanted on his tombstone, he said, "He was here just a minute ago".

Sad news.

I know. He was just so great. After the children are safely tucked away in their beds tonight, I'm going to watch his greatest hits.
