Birthday Presents

Tomorrow is Rick's 50th birthday, and I wanted to get him something BIG for such an important birthday. I thought he might be interested in an HD TV, but he said that he'd actually prefer a Sleep Number bed. Neither of us sleeps all that well and we've heard so much about these beds, and how they help so many people, so we drove to Dover today to test one out.

It didn't take but a minute to convince me. So we ended up ordering the 5000 series bed, and it should be here in a couple of weeks.

On another note, Zack and I went shopping the other day and he got a cool new toy from Pottery Barn Kids. They're called Creativity Cards, and they're these laminated wood cards with slots in them, and you can build all kinds of things with them. We played with them in the store long enough for me to know it would be worthwhile to buy them, and the photo is of one of Zack's creations. He's decided it makes a cool garage for his cars.

The bed sounds like a great idea. We still sleep in a full/double and are toying with getting a queen. But that would mean we'd also have to get a new frame and all new linens, so it suddenly becomes a much bigger deal.

  2. We've slept in a double and it is just too small (both of us roll or swap sides a lot). We thought about a king, but that's really TOO much room. And then we'd have to get another bed, so same boat as you are in.

Ohhh, a sleep number bed. Please tell us how it works out. I am in need of a new bed and have been thinking of those.
And that you for Zach - looks like a lot of fun.

We love our Sleep Number bed! We got it last year when we moved into the new house. I think you are going to love it, too.
