...and about the trip!

The Bead and Button show is an annual event in Milwaukee, WI, with tons of classes and tons of bead vendors. I can only bear to be gone from my guys for a few days, so I only go for the shopping. And SHOPPING it is -- 4pm-9pm on Thursday, 10-8pm Friday, 10-6pm Saturday, and 10-4pm on Sunday -- serious shopping hours.

Although the shopping was divine, the real reason for going was to meet some of my internet friends. Over the past few years, I've made some wonderful friendships with people I've never met, and this was our first chance to get together in person. I was a little nervous at first but that quickly disappeared -- it was like we had been best friends since grade school. Everyone was so INTERESTING and so fun, and it could not have gone better.

Some had classes, some just came to shop, and we all kind of drifted in and out of each other's space during the shopping (thank goodness for cell phones for the "what booth are you at?" calls) so dinner was when we really got to sit and talk and tell stories. YUMMY dinners, too, thanks to our local travel guide, Ann! One night we even went to a Chocolate Bar, which was as devine as it sounds!

So that's it in a nutshell!
