Authenticity reprise (via Brene Brown)

Yesterday was epic.  With a new medication, I managed to stay out of bed the entire day.  Not only that, but I actually WENT somewhere.  I got my hair done (I'm a redhead now!  But pink and purple will be back in August).

The problem with this new medication is I am quite positive -- nay, 110% convinced -- that it's at entirely too high a dosage.  Holy Hannah but I've been awake for (thinks....) 34 hours straight.  I kid you not.  I'm at that giddy stage, but still not sleepy.  This is a bit of insanity, but look, I got my hair and make up done by myself today!  That's something.

I had plans to actually write something that made sense but y'all, I am loony as a barrel of chimpanzees right now, so I'll leave you with a friend's favorite blog post of mine...just emailed me about it today.  I think it's still apt, as you'll see in coming days when I share a lot.

Enjoy!

  13. Yay for the new meds!!! I do hope your body gets used to it, or the doc changes the dosage.

Your hair is absolutely gorgeous!!! And what a great smile in this photo--though it might be drug induced. :)

  22. I recently had enough energy to dye my hair again. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes for my self perception. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but it is! I feel happier when I look in the mirror. Less tired. Less depressed. It honestly makes the spinal pain feel less heavy....
