Getting nerve blocking injections in my face and neck today.
Does it hurt?
It doesn't tickle.
But it hurts less than a migraine.

Ohhh so sorry for the migraine and injections. I did a year of injections at my temple. They were not nerve blocking, rather a solution to help get rid of migraine. Did it work? NOOOOOO

thats what I tell people about getting an epidural during labor, stabbing me with a 10 inch needle to my spine hurts less then labor ;) I hope your injections help!!!! Feel better!

trying to explain a migraine to someone who's never had one is just a waste of time. They may listen, but they still just think it's a headache.
I clicked the link as I'm forever trying to find a way out of my migraine hell (I get them 3-4 times a week if I don't take a really horrible preventative drug which reduces them to monthly though I've had three this month already) and it said it only works for 6-8 hours - surely that can't work?
I managed to get a referral to the consultant neurologist at the hospital and he suggested that I try not taking any painkillers... my faith in doctors is greatly reduced and from now on I think I'm going to have to try to manage it myself...

I'm so sorry that you're dealing with yet another migraine. Though I've not had one in many years, I can sympathize. My migraine years were the worst times in my life.

Owwww! Never had one bad enough for those shots but have heard of this before. Hope you are better soon. I used to get horrid headaches and would have to lay down with an icepack on my neck to get rid of them and they were bad enough, I use this chinese oil fpr jeadacjes. Its called Yee Tin Tong oil and a tiny bottle will last a long time. Dont know how it would work on a migraine, but on a nasty sinus headaches, it will take about 30 seconds and its gone.

~well wishes for you this day and those that come forth...i did acupuncture for a few years and as long as i religiously went my migraines were kept at bay...sad part is insurance only covers 12 per year and paying out of pocket exhausts funds all to quickly...its really a shame...i couldn't imagine having nerve blocks nor epidurals as two were enough for me...but i guess we do what we have to in order to be able to function and get through the day...may you find relief today...be well~

Lori my heart goes out to you. I suffered for over a year with daily migraines just too much to handle after endless visits to various doctors. unfortunately nothing they did or gave me helped. I changed my diet and started taking several natural supplements and now they seldom occur.It has been a blessing to me. If this doesnt work for you I would be glad to share with You what has helped me and maybe it may help you too.
