Focus on Life :: Capture Our Hearts

I'm late to the party, but I'm going to try to participate regularly in Sally Russick's awesome idea for a year of blog posts -- Focusing on Life.  This comes at a great time for me, as I continue to figure out 1) what I'm going to do with my business and 2) how to live with certain limitations.  Focusing on LIFE is what I need to do.

This post is a little bit of a cheat as I'm still busy pairing up over 500 people for the Bead Soup Blog Party®, but it's perfect not only for the subject for this week -- "Capture Our Hearts" -- but it's a good analogy to the entire event.

My heart for today is the heart my son requested be added to my recent tattoo.

If you haven't read the story behind the tattoo, you can click here.

Your post about adding the heart tatoo is captivating and very emotional. So sweet of Zack to want that connection forever. I can relate to having gone through an awful dark period this past year. When I came out the other side... I decided I needed to be me. Do things for me to inspire my soul to create again. That is why sadly, I made the decision not to join your BS blog hop this year. Instead focus on what I have here right this moment to bring happiness. Art has literally saved me thank goodness. Welcome to this beautiful group - you will love it!

How beautiful Lori. Zach and the heart brought tears to my eyes. I just love that sentiment. I am sorry for your dark period. I believe you deserve better. So glad you joined in, the Focus on Life is a wonderful and inspiring way to live your life. ((hugs)) and if I can help in anyway I would be happy to.

Can't get any better than having your baby boy want to be a part of your inner journey towards a happy and fulfilled life...they are so wise and so in the moment. And just want their parents to be happy..heart-happy.
Great to see you in this group and year long discovery process...

This remonds me of a passage that reads " I carry your heart in my heart" such a sweet memory every time you look at it!

So glad that you joined in Lori! I love the phrase that you had tattooed on your wrist and the heart Zack asked you to add on to it. It is very clear that not only has your son captured your heart, but you have captured his as well! Really, when you think about it, the most important thing in life is love and you have an abundance of that!

Lori, I'm so glad that you were able to join in this week and with such a beautiful photo. I love that Zack wanted the heart, it's the prefect addition! I hope you are feeling better, that flu is a nasty one.

Oh, that's so perfect for this prompt. And, I'm sure that during this chaos of pairing people up, it's also a great reminder.

I don't think it's cheating! It's a heart and it has significant meaning behind it, so I say it's perfect for this week's challenge ^.^
