The Pink Ladies

Yesterday I was honored and humbled by the blog hop some members of my Facebook group put on for me.  I was drawn to tears by things people said and I can't believe they started a secret group months ago just to pull this off and I never knew a thing!  In short, these ladies went "In the Pink" by putting pink in their hair -- either with dye, hair spray, extensions, ribbons, and PhotoShop.  There were even pets, kids, and a husband who joined in.

You never know how something you do will be taken, or remembered, and I was touched beyond belief.  Thank you, everyone.

Thank you!

  3. So many of us have said you are so deserving of this, and I hope you realize it was all done out of pure love for you and your HUGE heart.
BTW Thanks for including the pic of hubby in his pink, even though he probably would like it forgotten. Today is our 44th Anniversary, so maybe I will just do it again, to celebrate!

  7. They all look so lovely. I was supposed to play along, but it's been a wild few weeks for me. I'm so glad to see so many of the group played along and that it made your day. You deserve the fun they shared. ;-)

  10. Lori, Just got my copy of Bead Soup in the mail. It is amazing, and you are one amazing woman for writing it! I am having a hard time putting it down and getting back to the torch. But, I am already re-inspired - again and again.

Also, I really like what you did with my beads (this is the first time I've seen it, you know.) Gives me even more inspiration for where to go with my own beads. Good greif woman. Thank you, and hugs across the miles. Maybe someday somewhere (at a bead show of course0 I'll get to hug you in person.

  12. Lori,

So, remember DC Flea? I had just gotten my hair done and I felt horrible because I fibbed to you when you asked me about it. I (think) I told you I colored my girls' hair, and then they colored mine. I was so worried that A) I'd give it away, or B) you thought I was trying to steal your 'Pink' thunder! (Even though I know that's not your nature!) I've learned so much from you and the Hops and FB groups, not only how to grow as an artist/beader, but as a person, too. Thank you for 'listening' to me ramble on and helping me to see beyond what I perceive my limits to be. I'm blessed to be able to call you my friend, someone who 'gets' me on several levels! Peace, Love, & Sunshine, Kel
