My copy of the Bead Soup book arrived today!

And while I'm super-excited, I need to fix a few things which, in publishing terms, are called errata and I in human terms call things that can't be mentioned in mixed company.

As many times as a person looks over a manuscript, and no matter how many sets of eyes look at something (and there were many, many eyes on this book), mistakes get made.  I want to publicly apologize for those right now.

On page 55, Nan Emmett's name is misspelled (she's missing a "t").  It's spelled correctly elsewhere, but not here.

The first picture in the Gallery is completely attributed incorrectly.  It should be attributed to

Christine Altmiller

with beads sent to her from Amy Freeland.
The name of the piece is

"Through Vincent's Eyes"

and it was made during the 4th Bead Soup Blog Party.

I couldn't be more sorry for the errors, but I hope you will still enjoy the book!

And did you know....
the contributors don't know yet what their partners made?
Total secret, just like a blog hop reveal!

All contributors and gallery contributors will be receiving their books
from Kalmbach towards the end of next week,
and my box of books will be here around then, too!
So if you pre-ordered a book, you don't have long to wait!

And there's still time to order -- the button is to the right!

  7. How neat is that!? Well, not the errors (or errata) of course, but I'm sure those people understand these things happen.

  12. Congratulations on such a wonderful accomplishment - I'm so happy for you. Sorry about the mistakes, I know that is probably bothering you, but even with all the eyes trying to catch things, it still happens a lot. I'm sure the 'eye-candy' in the book is fabulous enough that no one will notice anything else!
