The Map of the Bead Soup Blog Party

(click the map for a larger view)

Saturday the 17th launches the beginning of the 4th Bead Soup Blog Party.  And I say "the beginning" because this is the largest party we've ever had, and it's going to take more than a day, or even a weekend, to visit all 362 blogs!

Not only is this the largest BSBP we've had, it's the most international.  We have jewelry designers in five continents and twenty-one countries, and in the United States, we're in Hawaii, Alaska, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as well as all over the continental US.  In fact, there are only three states not represented by someone (North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana, where are you???)

See all those red dots?  Those are people!  And some of the dots are in the same city, one on top of the other, so if you see one pin, there may actually be five or more!

What countries are we partying in?

Australia
Austria
Bahamas
Canada
Finland
France
Germany
Hungary
Israel
Italy
The Netherlands
Philippines
Poland
Russia
Slovenia
South Africa
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
United Kingdom
United States

Can you believe it?  Neither can I (or my husband, who helped me pin all those suckers, twice, because of course the computer had to crash at least once in the process).

In case you're wondering how to manage visiting all those blogs, here's a couple of helpful hints to keep you hydrated and in the party mood for a while.  Cut and paste the list (which will be posted on the 17th) into Word and mark the blogs off as you visit them.  Pace yourself -- the partners will be listed in groups of ten.   And I'll have a permanent link to the list on my Bead Soup Blog Party page (again, posted on the 17th).

Stay tuned -- soup's almost on!

  3. I use tabbed browsing- I open the group of 10 at the same time, go through them then move onto the next. I copy and paste the blogs that have not posted to a word document so I can go back later and check.

It does take quite some time to get through the list and this one is even bigger than the last. I can't wait.

  11. WOW!! That's a whole lot of dots!! My one suggestion while doing the hop is if you want to look at something again, or you really liked how something looked, make a note on your word document, because you will never, ever remember which blog it was on!!
