The winner, and a prayer request, please.

First, my apologies for no fun Zack-driven drawing photos.  We had a plan but we'll have to save it for next giveaway.  My step-mother fell into a diabetic coma yesterday after having a mini-stroke last week and things have been quite busy and difficult here.  When dad was at the hospital with her after the stroke, they thought he was having a heart attack, but it ended up being a gall bladder attack, so while my step-mother was being treated, Dad was having emergency surgery.  If he hadn't have gotten up for his follow-up appointment early in the morning and gone to check on my step-mom, he may not have caught the coma in time, so it's strange how things happen.  Anyway, she's out of the coma today, but things are very dicey for her, so if you're inclined to pray or send healing thoughts, I'd ask for that, please.

The winner of the book is.....

Cinnamon Jewelry in England!

It often amazes me how things work out Lori...how one event can lead to another and there is such a psychic or "other hand at work" element to it. I'm glad that your step-mother is out of the coma but it certainly sounds as if her health is precarious right now. Sending prayers for her. And I'm glad that your dad has his surgery and hope he is on the mend. You've definitely had your hands full!!! xo

Seems a lot of prayers are needed right now...Your family and mine...my Aunt was told she has breast cancer. This is the second time for her and just 2 years since her last battle. This time they say it is one of the more aggressive forms. So for sure I'll be saying a prayer for your family and mine and others I don't even know...

So sorry to hear about your step-mother's stroke and your dad's emergency surgery. It's fortunate that things happened the way they did, both for your step-mom and your dad. Good that your dad was up early and checked on his wife and,if one has to have a gall bladder attack what better place to be than at a hospital?
My prayers go out to your step-mother, may her recovery be quick and complete.
