Just a Little Something to Get You Going This Morning

source

Zack's 2nd grade class is doing its last community project today -- planting trees down the road in another town.  I'm going with him, and will take my camera, but not sure how many shots I'll be able to get, but I'm looking forward to a morning with a bunch of kids who know the meaning of giving back.

And dirt.

  9. Wow! Its so great that they do that! Aiden's school does a lot of fundraisers for Relay for Life and such, but doesn't do community service. I think it should be mandatory!
    Enjoy yourself!

  11. Awesome! Love hanging with kids who are excited about what they're doing. It's so cool to watch them learn about taking care of our world, thru little actions like planting trees, to making big changes in people's way of thinking. Have a great time!

  13. I found you blog today, and after reading a few posts I already I get the feeling that I've found something precious, something that makes my heart beat in the beat I like while I'm nodding to myself.
Yours is a journey I'm eager to follow, your words speak to me with both knowledge and ..how do I say it .. friendship?! Don't know if it makes any sense to you, but I do think I will have read through your blog by nighttime - and maybe again tomorrow.
    Hugs and love, Celia

  14. I love that they're learning the meaning of giving back at a young age b/c that means they'll continue it throughout their lives. Good for them, their schools & their parents!
