Sleepy Cat is Sleepy
I've introduced you before to our fat cat extraordinaire, Vernon. Now, I get tired. I wax melodic about the virtues of naps. But this certainly, without a doubt, takes the cake.
Vernon fell asleep while he was grooming his tummy.
That is an entirely new level of tired.
But I think we can all appreciate it.

He is just adorable. Love his colors. I was owned by cats for many years, but now hubs and daughter are allergic, so I just get their love attitude from afar now. :)

It's not often that I sit at the laptop at night, on my own, with a couple of equally sleepy cats strewn around me and suddenly laugh out loud like a complete fruitcake.
My sleepy cats are wide awake now.

Thanks for sharing the pic of Vernon - he's adorable! I don't think my 18yo one-eyed cat has ever fallen asleep while grooming himself, but he's certainly fallen off tables while asleep :-)

sounds like lots of us have fluffy cats...ours is very lazy until our dog comes in from outside and then the cat stands on her back legs and just pummels our dog as she walks by. Good thing no front claws...they are such good companions and make us laugh so many times.

LOL! I use to have a big boy that looked exactly like you fat cat! His name was Casper. He also loved to fall asleep while laying on the back of the bathtub.

I love it! We had a fat cat too, who would, when he decided he wanted to nap or lay down all of a sudden, would literally flop down where ever he was. He'd do it so hard he'd shake the furniture in whatever room he was in! Thanks for reminding me of Merrt...miss him :)
