Beadaholique Design Team Projects

I was thrilled to be contacted by Beadaholique last month and asked if I wanted to be a  member of their new design team.  I've purchased beads from Beadaholique in the past and was pleased, so I jumped on board!

This month I chose some matte lucite flowers in jewel tones -- ruby red, Montana blue, and emerald green and a gorgeous brass toggle.  My idea was to create a lush charm bracelet (probably my favorite thing to make) using chain and cultured pearls I had in my stash.  I added some pretty little bits of gold to the mix, turned on an episode of "The Office", and away I went!

Each link holds two flower components, and the chain's links are about 6mm or so in diameter, to give you an idea of proportion.  I ordered ten of each color flower and had a few left over for earrings.

I also nabbed a few of Swarovski's interesting departure from crystal -- Swarovski Ceramics.  These are 10mm rounds in Marbled Blue (and hurry and click here, they're on sale!).  I made a pair of chandelier earrings with them....

... and then tried them out just with some cool pewter findings.

I have one more pair of earrings I made with some cool aluminum chain, but for the life of me, I can't find them ANYWHERE.  I'm blaming a cat.  Or a kidlet.  But when I find them, I'll show you.

Thank you VERY much to Beadaholique for including me in their program!

  8. Awesome Lori! Congratulations! I love that bracelet and earings. They look great.

And I vote for the cat stealing your earrings, can't trust em.

I caught mine licking seed beads off my tray. When I opened her mouth to see what was in there she had a blue size 11 stuck between two teeth. I don't know where the others went, although in the end it might give new meaning to the term "bead soup". lol
