Milestones -- The Book

Back when I posted my eCourse "Blog Your Art Out", I said it's always a good idea to write your blog as if the CEO of a Fortune 500 company would be reading it.

Or, perhaps, a book publisher.

Back at the beginning of the year, I wrote a post about how I'd always wanted to write a book.  A day or so later, I got an email from an editor asking me questions.  I had no idea she'd been following my blog, but she had.  To make a long story short......

I'm writing a beading book!

It still hasn't quite sunk in yet, either.  My head is still spinning (maybe it's the champagne!) and I can't tell you how unreal it all is. 

On my blog An Artist's Year Off, I've written about trying to make changes in my career path and striving to check things off this mental list I have.  Writing a book was one of those list items I never thought I'd be able to check off.  It was a dream that I'd more or less shelved for "some time later".  Who knew when later would be. 

But later is NOW and oh MAN!  I'm honored and am not taking this opportunity for granted.

I hope I can write something you'll like. 

I hope I will write something pretty.
