My Snowy World

I love snow. We don't get snow every year here in Maryland, but this year we got a fair amount. I love to watch it, especially as I sit at my table and look out the back sliding doors at it accumulating on the deck.

What I don't like is coaching my husband home from Pennsylvania while navigating a national weather web site (complete with Doppler radar) and traffic cameras for three areas. It was strange to watch it snowing like crazy on the Eastern Shore and then to see it sunny with nothing but dry road above Baltimore. Rick ended up taking the Delaware route home, and he said it was like running through a magic portal. Bing, no snow. WHOOSH, more snow than Narnia.

Snuggle up, folks ... even if there's no snow near you.

That is pretty, we had our fair share about three weeks ago, ground everything to a stand still it did.

By the way Lori, I've left you an award on my blog http://kellasvegeplotandothermusings.blogspot.com/

Beautiful, peaceful pic!
We have a CRAZY amount of snow here in Sweden. In some places it's up to my height :-S

I heard you guys got slammed with snow this week. It must be stressful to drive in but it really does look pretty.

I'm glad you like to watch the snow. It's the time of year, for me, that I get very tired of the white stuff. I do have to admit, it's beautiful when you are safe and warm inside.

'More snow than Narnia' puts a nice spin on that white stuff that's wearing out it's welcome here;) Your photo is lovely!

Ah, looks like my world a couple of days ago. Snuggling up is the best thing in this wintry weather. A hot cup of chocolate goes along way as well. Stay warm and snuggly!

Hi Lori! Pretty winter scene....downright cozy in a sense! I used to love the snow we would get on occasion in Virginia. Love it when it accumulates on the trees. And it was fun when the seagulls used to come inland, and we would feed them crackers.

Did you have a White Witch sighting while maneuvering hubby? She probably blended in with the scenery! Looks like yummy hot chocolate weather to me!

As much as I love Southern California, I DO miss the snow (like in your photo) that we would get in Indiana when I lived there. But with writing that, I have to say that I don't miss getting out and driving in it. Glad your hubby made it home safe and sound :)

Nice snowy photo! We got about 3 inches or so, but I didn't take any shots this go'round

We also received a crippling amount of snow over the weekend, 10 inches. No school today or tomorrow.

That looks picture-postcard pretty! No snow here and 40+ heat most of the time, so no snuggling here!

I'm just going to have to stare at your picture. Or off to the mountains in the distance. Not the same though :-(
