House

I just got through watching the premiere of "House" that I TiVo'd, and it made me happy on so many levels. First, of course, it has Hugh Laurie in it, and Hugh Laurie is, in my opinion, very easy on the eyes. I also for some reason really like that cranky curmudgeonly attitude and amazing brilliantness. (Pause in your reading to sigh longingly with me).

This episode reminded me of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" sans lobotomy and with a much happier ending. I didn't have to cry because no one died (which is the main reason why I had to quit watching "ER"), and my heart just flew out to every single one of the patients and doctors. All in all, one of those feel-good shows, for once.

So what have you watched lately?

When Lori Anderson isn't catching a bit of TV, she's designing jewelry. You can see her work at www.lorianderson.net.

  1. I agree, I love it too except he reminds me too much of an old flame- good and bad- hehe!

  2. We just got the last season of House on DVD, which we'll watch soon. First, however, we're finishing Season 3 of Lost and Season 2 of Rome.

  3. I have never watched House, but have several friends who won't miss it! I just got my mail, and season 6 of Two and a half Men arrived! Not brain food by any stretch of the imagination, but it's fun! It's a good diversion from my History or documentaries I like to watch.

  4. ARGH, I missed it. (oh, sorry, talk like a pirate day is long over.)

I did miss it - wish I had thought to DVR it - wonder if it is on VOD...will have to check and see. Thanks for reminding me! And I agree - House, Hugh Laurie, Hugh Laurie, House - they, he, him -> very lovable (and easy on the eyes)

  5. Um. House. Season 2. Catching up...I have watched 4 and 5. And I think 6? I agree with you...it's an interesting show.

I remember him from Sense and Sensibility and he kind of had a smattering of that curmudgeonly (but caring underneath) attitude. It's amplified in this series and oh so interesting...

Others: NCIS, the Closer, Glee, and Bones

  10. We TiVo House as well and usually watch it pretty much right away, just wait long enough to ff through the commercials :-D It's in my top-ten list. I'm kinda partial to Wilson though.

Also, Candy-corn Earrings arrived! They are so wonderful. I showed my husband and he wants a pair for himself!

All of you who don't watch HOUSE should really try it.
HUGH LAURIE is an AMAZING actor.
He mesmorizes me when he is on screen. And the storyline between House and Wilson is very cool! Wilson is House's best friend.
If you watch something else in it's time period, just DVR it.
I promise you, you won't be sorry.
    HUGH LAURIE ROCKS THE HOUSE!!!

  16. Yes Lori, I love to hate him at times. I love that he is so brazen, and while I would love someone that smart working on me it would be hard to take. Of course Hugh has come a long way since playing a bumbling boob of a king on "Black Adder" hasn't he?
