Magyk by Angie Sagerating: 5 of 5 stars
I love this genre of book -- I've loved everything that had to do with wizards and witches, lost princesses and fairies.
I wasn't disappointed at all with this book! Once again I dipped into the Juvenile Literature section of the book store to find this, but its being a "non-adult" selection didn't matter one whit.
I won't go into the plot (you really should try this series out!) but even when you know what's coming, it's still delightful. A big bonus -- the illustrator is fantastic!
A great read. On to the second book!

We're big fans of the series. I recommend waiting a bit in between the books, just to have some time to think about them before moving on.

Oh I'm no good at waiting, especially when there's a series to be read! (Remember my devouring Outlander? Nearly landed me in a coma from no sleep).
But I DID have to take a day off reading after the last Harry Potter. That took a bit to digest!
Have you checked out the "So You Want To Be A Wizard" series by Diane Duane?
No, I haven't seen that one! I'll check it out, though! Thanks for the tip!
I didn't know you hadn't read her books yet... I am re-reading Magyk because I'd forgotten some of the details while reading Queste...
Have you read the book The Dragon of Never Was? If not, I think you'll love it too!
