Christmas Eve!

Exciting! It's Christmas Eve!


This meant the traditional race about town picking up candy for the stockings (I did that). It also meant delivering jewelry across town for customers who needed last-minute presents.


It meant the cooking of an exquisite meal -- this year featured Gruyere mashed potatoes and sausage stuffing (Rick, Ryan, and Colin did that).



It meant the opening of the Christmas Eve Present -- ornaments for everyone except Zack, who already got his ornament when we did the tree, so he got a game -- Qwirkle, which is loads of fun, and a game Zack has been longing for for a long time. It was one of the many things he circled in a catalog, so he was having conniptions when he opened it. (Breathe deep, Zack, there's more to come!).



I just kissed the piglet goodnight, and Rick is tucking him bed, and now I prepare to wrap all of Zack's presents and then join in a game of Trivial Pursuit with the rest of the family.


Life is good.
