I've read a bunch recently:
Plum Lovin' by Janet Evanovich -- this is a "between the numbers" book about Stephanie Plum, very short, and silly and fun.
Shopaholic and Baby by Sophie Kinsella -- I read this right after Harry Potter because I just needed some fluff. I think my favorite part of this series of books are the letters her credit card companies and financial advisors write to her.
I'm still slogging away at Atlas Shrugged -- I've read 1000 pages of it now, not much more to go, but I keep having to put it down to read other things, something I normally never do. I have to say, I love Dagny Taggert.
OK, what else did I read? OH! Yesterday I read in its entirity Elizabeth Berg's "Dream When You're Feeling Blue" -- and warning, if you've not read it yet and plan on it, read no further, because I'm going to spoil it all for you.
The book is about three sisters and their fiances who are off to fight in WWII. The oldest sister, Kitty, just got the short end of every stick when it came to romance and it made me so sad and so MAD! I should have known -- almost every single Elizabeth Berg book makes me cry, and this one was no different. But she gives up one boyfriend to the younger sister, and one to the older? What??????? And never marries????? AGH! SO not a happy ending. But was still a great book, with lots of really interesting info about life during WWII, both on the front and at home.
I'm now starting the latest Jeffery Deaver book, The Sleeping Doll. I love all of his books and this shouldn't be any exception.
So there you go! All my books this week! :-)
