I had to share a photo of my little helper -- he has his own box of beads and today I gave him a bangle to play with and he was quite intent on his creation!
He loves to help me -- today he discovered my "PAID" stamp and was busy stamping invoices for me. He then helped himself to one of my pens and took a notebook and I learned an important truism -- never leave a child unsupervised with a magic marker. He was very, very careful not to get any on the floor, but one entire hand is blue.... as if he PAINTED it blue. He could play with Blue Man Group and fit right in! And of course it won't come off until it wears off... geez.
I'm starting a new book tonight -- Truman Capote's Summer Crossing. It's actually a book that he told everyone he destroyed, but apparently he set it out by the curb for the trash and his landlady rescued it (so I read). In reading about Truman Capote, I found out he was good friends with Harper Lee, and I can't even imagine what it must have been like to be in the inner circle of influential artists like that.
