A Design Weekend
This weekend I'm definitely kicking things into high gear. I have two shows this month, one three-day show, and one two-day show in a new venue, and the rest of the year is pretty much packed, too, so I'm working like crazy to keep inventory up, while at the same time keeping up with orders. I just finished a bridal party's jewelry, and now am starting on a wholesale order for dichroic heart necklaces and Thai Hill Tribe silver and gemstone necklaces. There's just not enough time in the day! But I wouldn't have it any other way -- I love what I do.

The knitting class went well -- I hung out for a while afterwards catching up with my friend Lyn. She has a great idea for hosting a Creative Moms group at Guppys (the indoor playground here in town -- awesome place, and where I taught the class). The idea would be for people to get together once or twice a month in the meeting room and bring their "stuff to work on" -- scrapbooking, knitting, needlepoint, whatever, and the kids would be able to play while the moms could relax a bit and hang out in the meeting room. Kind of like the Stitch and Bitch groups that have cropped up everywhere, but open to not just knitters. I love the idea, and can't wait until fall when they (hopefully) start up!
