Memoirs of a Geisha
AT LAST! I knew this movie was in production (for forever, it seems) but now it's official, it's opening in December! The book was wonderful... going to have to reread it (my pile of books to read keeps getting higher and higher....)
Had intended to start a different book the other night but instead picked up SKIVVY NINE!, which is a book about the unit I used to be in when I was in the military. My husband is a retired Chief Master Sergeant and he's not at all enamored with the book (feels that CMSgts should not be writing books like this for many reasons) but I am enjoying it because it's reminding me of places I loved. Being in Korea was one of the most interesting things I've ever done. The book was written about events way before MY time in Osan, but I recognize the places and things like chem warfare exercises and IG inspections.
Countdown to Virginia Beach is fast approaching -- I've made a lot of things but I never feel like I have enough, ever!
